This is a hard stone which is generally uniform in colour and exhibits no colour banding although a selection of colour variations and grades are available. It is suitable and approved for restoration and structural projects. It is very similar in colour and quality to Sydney sandstone making it popular with restorers and architects. Many landmark buildings in Sydney include stone from Capricorn Sandstone Quarries. A few examples are Central Park – Broadway, Angel Place - Pitt Street, Citibank Building - Park Street, Energy Australia - Darling Harbour, Frog Hollow - Surry Hills, Sydney Domain Bridge and Sydney University in Parramatta Road.
